36 Years of Lowcountry Marine Construction
Docks Unlimited has been building docks in the Lowcountry since 1990. This work is based on experience in tidal creeks, marsh systems, open water, and strict coastal environments throughout the Charleston region. We aren't just building backyard setups—we are the team trusted to build out the Wando River Marina, construct commercial-grade bridges for Bishop Gadsden, and engineer community infrastructure across Daniel Island and Wild Dunes.
We focus on how a dock performs over time.
That includes how it handles movement, how it holds up in the environment, and how it can be repaired when needed.
Team Approach
Dock construction in the Lowcountry is a coordinated process involving survey, engineering, permitting, and environmental coordination. We manage the project from the beginning to build docks that work in real-world conditions, not just on paper.

We’ve rebuilt legacy docks from Shem Creek to Wild Dunes, permitted new systems from the Wando to Daniel Island, and handled tight-access jobs all across the Intracoastal.
Whether it’s a full teardown and rebuild, a custom floating system, or a shoreline retrofit, we know how to build it — and how to get it approved.
Our team works directly with SCDHEC’s Bureau of Coastal Management, the Army Corps of Engineers, HOAs, surveyors, and local officials to move projects forward without delay.
