Custom Marine Construction, Rebuilds, and Sea Power Integration

Celebrating 35 Years of Trusted Dock Building – Since 1990

Custom Dock Construction

We don’t do cookie-cutter designs. Every dock is custom-designed to fit the property, the lifestyle, and the water conditions.

We pre-build our docks in our Mount Pleasant shop, then install fast and clean.

  • Marine-grade aluminum framing
  • Composite or Ipe decking
  • Sea Power HDPE float systems and internal guides
  • Seamless integration with boat lifts, platforms, and ramps

Heavy-Duty Timber Walkways and Structural Framing

When the job calls for wood, we raise the standard. Most builders use 2×8 framing—we use bigger, stronger lumber designed to last.

  • 3×10 headers
  • 3×8 stringers
  • Oversized bolts and fasteners
  • Framing layout to reduce sag, bounce, and future problems

Sea Power HDPE Piling Protection and Surge-Stabilized Float Guides

Every dock starts with the right foundation. We use Sea Power Marine Products on every build we do. It’s not just stronger—it’s smarter.

  • One-inch thick HDPE pile coverings
  • Surge-protected internal float guides
  • Modular sleeves for easy pile replacement
  • Built to protect your dock from damage, impact, and long-term decay

If a piling ever breaks, we just detach, replace, and reinstall.
One and done.

Teardown and Rebuild Projects

Most of the work we do today involves teardown and rebuilds in tight-access sites—Old Mount Pleasant, legacy docks, tidal creeks, and deepwater homes with no land-side access.

We demo by water and rebuild using modular sections for a faster, cleaner install.

  • Water-based demolition
  • No land damage
  • Pre-fabricated framing
  • Rapid install = minimal downtime

Floating Docks, Ramps, and Platforms

From kayak landings to multi-slip floating docks, we custom-build access structures that are secure, stable, and built to move with the water.

  •  ADA-accessible ramps
  • Custom aluminum-framed walkways
  • Sea Power stabilizers and float systems
  • Modular platform builds for tidal adaptation

Full-Scope Support When You Need It

Need more than a dock? We’ve got you covered.

We know the whole waterfront—riprap, erosion control, floating systems, ramps, boat lifts, and full marine setups.

If it touches the water, we’ve probably built it—or we know the right pro to bring in.

We focus on doing things right, not just doing everything ourselves.
So if you’ve got a bigger vision, just ask. We can manage it, guide it, or build it from start to finish.

Permitting and Project Coordination

We’ve been handling Lowcountry permits for over 30 years. We deal with Town, County, OCRM, theU.S. Army Corps of Engineers, HOAs—you name it.

Let us handle it so you don’t have to.

  • Site layout and design
  • Surveyor and engineer coordination
  • Permit submission and revisions
  • Compliance with all coastal regulations

Working With Other Contractors? Just Ask About Sea Power.

We work with many licensed and insured marine contractors across the Lowcountry.

If you’ve already hired someone else, just ask them about using Sea Power Marine Products in your build.

Whether it’s HDPE pile covers or internal stabilizers, we’re happy to support the project.

It’s all about raising the bar across the industry and giving every homeowner a better result.

We Build for the Lowcountry — And Only the Lowcountry

We’re based in Mount Pleasant, and we don’t stretch ourselves thin.
We focus on Sullivan’s Island, Isle of Palms, Mount Pleasant, and nearby tidal creeks—because this is home.

When you build local, you build better. And we’ve been doing that since 1990.

ALUMINUM-FRAMED DOCK SYSTEMS

Built Like Infrastructure. Wrapped Like Home.

We build modular aluminum-framed dock systems that look like traditional wood docks — but underneath, they’re all muscle. These aren’t bolted in the mud. They’re pre-framed in our Mount Pleasant shop, shipped in clean sections, and bolted together on-site to create stronger lines, tighter tolerances, and longer-lasting performance.

Every unit is rated to 100 pounds per square foot. Fully wrapped. No exposed aluminum. No shortcuts. Just a dock that fits your property and outperforms everything else on the water.

Why Aluminum?
• It won’t rust.
• It’s light but tough.
• It doesn’t rot or warp.
• It installs faster.
• It looks sharp.

Configurations Available:
• Fixed Docks
• Floating Docks
• Hybrid Systems

Each system is finished with composite, Ipe, or PVC decking. Sea Power hardware comes standard.

ALUMINUM-FRAMED FLOATING DOCK SYSTEMS

Strength, Flexibility, and Clean Design. Made for the Coast.

Our floating dock systems offer unmatched strength and adaptability for waterfronts with fluctuating water levels, tidal flow, or deepwater access. Framed with precision-welded aluminum and designed for South Carolina’s marine conditions, they bolt directly into our fixed dock systems or stand alone with full Sea Power integration.

Decked in your choice of composite, hardwood, or PVC — and stabilized with internal float systems and surge protection. These docks don’t sag, shift, or demand maintenance. They just work.

SEAWALL CONSTRUCTION

We Don’t Just Stop Water — We Build the Line That Holds.

A well-built seawall doesn’t just stop erosion — it defines the edge of your property and keeps everything behind it safe. At Docks Unlimited, we build seawalls the way they’re meant to be: using marine-treated timbers, sheathing, and driven piles that are built to flex, drain, and hold up through storms and time.

We match every wall to the site: soil, slope, current, tide. Then we build clean, with minimal disruption, and finish strong — often tying into upland transitions, walkways, or dock systems for one integrated shoreline.

We handle everything:
• Site prep and layout
• Permitting
• Sheathing and timber install
• Tiebacks and drainage
• Upland transitions (optional)

This is shoreline defense done right — with the materials and methods that last.

ALUMINUM GANGWAYS & RAMPS

Safe, Strong, and Built to Last.

Our gangways and ramps bridge the gap between fixed and floating systems — with strength, safety, and simplicity. We build them with marine-grade aluminum, non-slip decking, and connection hardware that flexes with tides and settles with use.

Whether ADA-compliant or custom length, these systems make your dock safer and smoother to access. No rot. No rust. Just strong, clean lines.

ALUMINUM-FRAMED BRIDGES

Lightweight Strength for Heavy-Duty Access.

Docks Unlimited designs and fabricates aluminum-framed bridges for marsh crossings, trail systems, golf paths, and utility-grade spans. Each bridge is engineered to match your terrain and purpose — whether it’s a simple walking path or a vehicle-rated span over soft ground.

Helical or driven supports. Composite or grated decking. Built to blend in — and hold up.

ALUMINUM WALKWAYS

Access Across Land, Water, and Everything In Between.

From marsh edges to upland lawns, we build aluminum-framed walkways that stay straight, shed water, and outlast pressure-treated wood by decades. Clean installs, fast framing, and stable footing across all terrains — from pluff mud to packed clay.

Decked in composite, PVC, or grated panels. Integrated with your dock system or as standalone access. Walkways that lead somewhere — and stay there.

New to Dock Construction?
That’s Okay.

Most of our clients just want to get it done right, but they don’t know where to start.
That’s why we walk you through every step, from permitting to pilings to decking and design.

We’re here to guide you—not sell you.
