Lowcountry Dock Construction Methods
We build docks three different ways. Each system can be used to build a complete dock.
- Traditional Timber: Built using standard 2-inch material.
- Heavy Timber: Built using 3-inch material.
- Complete Aluminum Frame: The marine-grade aluminum acts as the structural skeleton, while the Ipe or synthetic decking acts as the body. This delivers commercial-grade durability underneath—rated to 100 pounds per square foot—while maintaining a traditional Lowcountry look on the outside.
Pilings are typically installed at approximately 10 feet on center based on site conditions.
